These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of STARTUPOLY, including the website, browser game, multiplayer rooms, account features and related services. By using STARTUPOLY, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Who operates STARTUPOLY

STARTUPOLY is operated by IP Aleksei Ruban, Individual Entrepreneur, identification number 345721800, registered by the LEPL National Agency of Public Registry of Georgia.

2. What STARTUPOLY is

STARTUPOLY is a free online browser board game. It is provided for entertainment purposes only. The game may include startup-themed companies, auctions, trades, loans, bank contracts, shares, in-game money, bots and multiplayer rooms.

STARTUPOLY does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax or business advice. Any startup, investment, banking or trading mechanics inside the game are fictional game mechanics only.

3. No affiliation with Monopoly or Hasbro

STARTUPOLY is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected with Hasbro, Monopoly, or any other third-party board game publisher or trademark owner. Any third-party names or trademarks belong to their respective owners.

4. Eligibility

You may use STARTUPOLY only if you are legally allowed to do so under the laws that apply to you.

The service is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country, you may use STARTUPOLY only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

5. Accounts and guest play

You can play STARTUPOLY without creating an account. Optional account features may allow you to save a profile name, email address, connected login providers and basic game statistics.

You are responsible for keeping your account details secure. Do not share your password or access to your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us at alexeyrv1@gmail.com.

We may suspend or remove accounts, rooms or access to the service if we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, abused the service, attempted to cheat, attacked the service, or created legal or security risks.

6. User conduct

You agree not to:

• use STARTUPOLY for illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening or deceptive activity;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
• interfere with or disrupt the game, servers, rooms, APIs, security features or other users;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, exploit, hack or bypass technical limits of the service;
• upload, send or display content that infringes someone else's rights;
• use bots, scripts or automation to manipulate multiplayer games, except for bots that are part of the official STARTUPOLY game mechanics;
• use STARTUPOLY in a way that could damage the service or other players.

7. Multiplayer rooms, chat and game state

STARTUPOLY may allow players to create or join multiplayer rooms. Room data may include room code, game mode, player names, icons, colors, game state, trades, chat messages and other gameplay information needed to run the game.

Do not share sensitive personal information in player names, room names, chat or trades. Multiplayer room information may be visible to other players in the same room.

We may delete inactive rooms, game states or related data at any time, especially for maintenance, security, storage or abuse-prevention reasons.

8. In-game assets have no real-world value

All in-game money, startups, companies, shares, loans, bank contracts, discounts, promises, trades, rooms, statistics, rankings or other game elements are fictional and have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be redeemed for money, goods, services, securities, cryptoassets, equity, loans or any other real-world benefit.

9. Intellectual property

The STARTUPOLY website, game design, code, original text, interface, graphics, logo and other original materials are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use STARTUPOLY only for personal, non-commercial entertainment unless we give written permission otherwise.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, host, frame, mirror, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit STARTUPOLY or any substantial part of it without permission.

10. Third-party services

STARTUPOLY may use third-party services such as hosting providers, analytics tools, authentication providers or other infrastructure providers. These services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Availability and changes

STARTUPOLY is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, update, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, or free from data loss.

12. No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, accuracy and security.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, device problems, account access issues, or damages caused by third-party services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to STARTUPOLY is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us to use STARTUPOLY in the 12 months before the claim; or (b) EUR 50. Because STARTUPOLY is currently free, this limitation is especially important.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Privacy and cookies

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies and browser storage is described in the Cookie Policy. By using STARTUPOLY, you acknowledge those documents.

15. Termination

You may stop using STARTUPOLY at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, or if we discontinue the service.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, unless mandatory consumer protection or data protection laws in your country provide otherwise.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date. Your continued use of STARTUPOLY after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
